Delivery and installation

Every Sunnier pergola is made to order after you buy, then delivered to your door. You can put it up yourself, or ask us to introduce you to an independent installation partner. Here is how each stage works.

Delivery

How long it takes

Each pergola is built after you order. Estimated delivery is around 4 to 6 weeks. If your order includes several items, we normally send them together, timed to the item with the longest lead time. Small accessories, such as remotes, lighting parts and heaters, may arrive separately by parcel carrier.

Arranging your date

When your order is ready, Sunnier or our delivery partner will contact you to arrange or confirm a delivery date. You may also get a time window shortly before delivery. Time windows are estimates, so please don't book an installer or other trades around the delivery date until the goods have arrived and been checked.

How it arrives

Pergolas come in long, sometimes heavy packages on a commercial vehicle. They are delivered kerbside, or to another safe, reasonably accessible unloading point close to your address. The delivery team doesn't ordinarily carry packages through the house, over walls or across the garden. A capable adult needs to be there throughout, and some packages need two people to move safely.

Tell us before your date is confirmed about anything that could make access difficult: narrow roads or entrances, low bridges or height limits, private roads, parking restrictions, steep slopes or restricted delivery hours.

Where we deliver and what it costs

Delivery is included for mainland Great Britain. Northern Ireland, islands, remote postcodes and addresses outside mainland Great Britain may need a separate quotation.

When it arrives

  • Check the number of packages and their visible condition before the driver leaves.
  • Note any damage or shortage on the delivery note, take photos and keep the packaging.
  • Tell us about visible damage or missing packages within 7 days, or as soon as you reasonably can.
  • Store the packages flat, dry and off wet ground until you're ready to assemble.

The full details are in our Delivery Policy.

Installation

Putting it up yourself

Both models are designed for DIY assembly, with clear instructions.

  • Pergola Essential: experienced DIYers typically assemble standard sizes in about 3 to 5 hours. No electrician is needed for the louvre drive.
  • Pergola Classic: typically one day with 2 to 3 people. The motor needs a 230V supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for the wiring.

Useful tools include a ladder, tape measure, level, power drill, silicone and suitable mounting bolts. Allen keys (sizes 4 and 5) are supplied. Both models can be fixed to concrete, stone, timber decking or prepared foundations, with suitable fixings.

Using an independent installer

If you'd rather not assemble it yourself, choose "Request an installer quote" when you configure your pergola. We'll introduce you to our independent installation partner, who contacts you and quotes separately. Typical starting prices are from £580 inc VAT for Essential and from £660 inc VAT for Classic. The final quote can vary with size, extras, site conditions and travel over 20 miles from the nearest installer, and availability depends on your location. Nothing is added to your Sunnier order.

A straightforward installation usually covers assembly, positioning, ordinary fixing and basic operating checks. It usually doesn't include foundations, paving or decking, electrical supply work beyond connecting the supplied motor where the supply is already prepared, or planning permission. See Professional Installation for the full terms.

Delivery and installation are separate

The installer won't necessarily come on your delivery day. Leave time after delivery to check you have every package before your installation appointment.
